Men's Prayer Group

The Men's Prayer Group is an organization open to any male member of the
parish. We meet every Wednesday morning for songs, prayer and
fellowship. The group meets periodically for breakfast on Saturday morning
for song, prayer, fellowship and a hearty breakfast along with a program for
personal growth.
"Because the lay faithful belong to Christ, Lord and King of the Universe,
they share in his kingly mission and are called by him to spread that
kingdom in history. Since the work that awaits everyone in the vineyard
of the Lord is so great, there is no place for idleness
."
- Pope John Paul II
As Catholic men, we're called to share the good news of Jesus Christ
with our friends, family, and colleagues. Stepping out in faith, we
can accept this holy challenge and make a difference for Christ. And
in the new springtime of evangelization, we'll become nurturing pillars
of faith in our families and communities. At OLPH we have weekly,
bimonthly, and annual opportunities for spiritual growth, prayer, and
fellowship to help equip us to fulfill this mission.
A small group of men meet at the church every Wednesday morning, 7:30
to 8:00 am, to sing, pray, and share fellowship. What a great way to
start the day!
We have a men's breakfast approximately every two months. We enjoy good
food and fellowship, followed by a speaker teaching us and leading us
in different areas of personal and spiritual growth. These breakfasts
take place on a Saturday, with our next three scheduled for January 5,
March 2, and May 4.
Every year a group of men from both our parish and
Our Lady of Nazareth
parish look forward to going to the Catholic Men's Conference at
Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. It is the first weekend
in June. We are inspired by an excellent series of talks and workshops
from Friday evening through Sunday noon. The personal and spiritual
growth we experience cause us to return year after year.
